Existing Albury Context

So these are some images I found of Albury.
Because I am not able to visit the site, I need to make a few assumptions.
Firstly, given it's size, I think that the towns culture is very much centred on sport and agriculture. I am basically assuming it is a large stereotypical country town. I am not saying whether this is good or bad. Just that it is.
This denotes that they are very much community centred and focused, likely close knit, and sceptical of anything new that is likely imposed on them.

In particular, they may be opposed to a new, high tech, glossy, glassed walled building, and people from the 'top' telling them how to use it. (See federal government political system).
Existing Rail Station

Dean St. Main Street of Albury

Existing Platform of Albury Station. It's 450m Long, allowing considerable ease, considering HS trains are between close to 300m or longer

View of the Railway, proving it quite iconic for the area. The bowls club is positioned to the front of it.

Railway clock tower. Quite High, and imposing. Very detailed architecture. Very strong and commanding.

Platforms End of the line coming from Victoria. This may not be needed in the final design

view from the end of Dean St. From the other side of town to the Rail Station

Control 'tower' for the existing Railway. This has immense character, and from a design perspective, I really want to, and feel obliged to keep it.
